>Hello all,
> I'm afraid I must ask your for what must be the most clichd question
>on this newsgroup; what's your favourite part in all of the books? I don't
>want to see anybody saying 'I love them all, I can't pick just one!' Well,
>now you have to!
It's gonna sound silly and stupid but the beginning of Book One until Harry
falls asleep in the Tower his first night. I remember picking up PS/SS out
of sheer boredom, thinking that it was at least something to read. I know
that lots of people have said that the first book takes awhile to get into
but I was hooked from the start. I think it was the mention of a cat looking
at the map. That made me sit up and think, "Hey, I recognize this". I also
love the description of Diagon Alley. How absolutely magical!
So yeah. I love the beginning because it gives me a wonderful fuzzy-fluffy
feeling.

I am moved by fancies that are curled
Around these images, and cling:
The notion of some infinitely gentle
Infinitely suffering thing.
