I have a question about Veelas and their magic. I don't have my copy
of Fantastic Beasts (which wasn't that exhaustive or even correct
about the beings in it). Does it name the magic of Veelas? We know
they can charm (control, hypnotize, whatever...) men, but I'm
wondering haw it might affect women.
I remember an obscure character in a story I once read, an alien
woman who instantly charmed men and at the same time repelled other
women. I suggest that the Veela heritage is two-fold. As Ron and
Harry seem mesmerized, isn't it feasable that the same magic repelled
Hermione (with a magical intensity beyond normal jealousy!)
Also, just as Harry (and Ron to a lesser extent) worked beyond the
magical attraction and Harry at least got to know her as a person,
wouldn't Hermione recognize the magical jealousy and work around it?
ALSO if my prediction is true, Fleur might come to Hogwart's as a
teaching assistant. If Hermione had to work closely with Fleur, how
would she handle it?
