Dumbledore's wand silvery bird

Steve:"It's [the little silver bird Dumbledore sent to get Hagrid] in 
the Lexicon. It's listed in the Spell Encyclopedia as the Messenger 
Spell. You'll notice that the name of the spell is colored  a darker 
red, indicating that the spell's name wasn't given in the the books so 
I created a name for it."

I had occasion to come up with a name for it, and I called the little 
bird an "Alarum," from the Latin for "alarm."  Actually, those of us 
who grew up in the 1950's or '60's could make a case for calling it 
The Lassie Spell, for all the times that famous collie ran and got 
help ("I think she's trying to tell us something!")
