THE SCENE: The tunnel leading away from the Shrieking Shack.  With 
PETTIGREW in (seemingly) secure custody, the Trio and their allies 
meet sudden catastrophe.

HERMIONE
The path is narrow
Black's proved he's a straight arrow
Ron's leg is broken
And Snape's not yet awoken
Let's all make sure that
The rat won't get away

BLACK (to HARRY)
No more the Dursley drill
You'll live with me until
Adult-size robes you fill,
This I'll say.

(Once outside, the clouds part to reveal the full moon. Lupin stops 
abruptly, and begins transforming into a werewolf)

HARRY
The moon grows fuller
Lupin is growing furrier
Our favorite teacher
Turns into a Dark creature
Forgot his potion
And takes up wolfish ways

PETTIGREW
I'll flee from Hogwarts Hall
And in ratty shape I'll crawl
Toward where the Dark Lord calls
Straight away.

Good riddance, good-bye 

(Pettigrew transforms into Scabbers and scampers off)

HARRY, SIRIUS & HERMIONE
Every trick of yours we're on to 

SCABBERS
But fools will be fools and I'm off pronto

(Sirius transforms into Padfoot to keep the vicious Lupin at bay)

HERMIONE 
Lupin gets malign
But Sirius gets canine
He drives off Remus
Now 'mentors come to cream us
They have us set up 
Harry and Black and me 

HARRY & HERMIONE 
Ever since this year began 
There is nothing meaner than
A grim dementor
Looking for the man that got away 

(A swarm of dementors converge. Black and Hermione both faint. A 
dementor pushes aside Harry's ineffective attempt at a Patronus, and 
lifts him aloft in order to administer the dread Kiss.)

HARRY
Our hope gets bleaker,
My magic's getting weaker,
My patron's feeble,
Now the Axis of Evil 
Brings back Mum's screamin'
To kiss us off today

(Suddenly, in response to a blazing white light, the dementors 
withdraw)

But a silver-blazing bright
Puts the dementors to flight
A grateful orphan
Rescued by that man
The dad who's back today

My dad came back today
..

(Unable to identify its source, Harry faints as the blinding light 
drives the last of the dementors far afield.)
