It seems to me that in the upcoming years Hermione will have more to worry 
about than Elf's rights, or so you would think. I'm sure that the issue is 
far from closed. You'll notice that Hermione herself, of course, has been 
looked down upon herself for being of muggle descent. I expect book #5 to be 
amazing. This is like the Balkan powder keg, everything is just ready to 
explode. (Yeah, yeah, I just got finished studying WW1). 

I mean, we've got Voldemort (who is probably "greater and more terrible than 
ever he was" -JKR) and his death eaters, giants (who knows who they'll side 
with)  dementors guarding prisoners who are about to be on the side of the 
prisoners, a screwed up Minister of Magic, and of course, there's Harry and 
friends. I'm sure we're going to get into a ton of discrimination of good and 
dark wizards alike against muggles, elf's, giants, werewolf's, and whatever 
else.
