I don't understand why after all the debating, and aall the canon
evidence, people keep saying that Ron is weak. (Not trying to be rude here.)
Some of the major canon events in which Ron has shown undaunting bravery, and
true leadership and logic skills, would be the Chess Game in SS/PS, and when
he stands up to what he believes are Murderer!Siruis, and EvilWerewolf!Lupin.
In the Chess Game, he uss his logic to get his friends to safety, so that
they are okay, and will be able to help others, while sacrificing himself in
order to make things work. I know that

<<Because it's Hermione and Harry that usually take up the lead. With the
exception, of course, of the Giant Chess scene, which sticks out like a sore
thumb..>>..but I have to say that Ron wasn't displaying a one-time act of
random bravery - he was put to the test, and he passed with flying colors.
The other situation that I mentioned was the scene in the Shrieking
Shack. My copy of PoA is floating around here somewhere, so I don't remember
what is exactly said, but I do know that Ron said something along the lines
of 'If you want to get to Harry, you'll have to get past us first" to Siruis.
He is displaying an incredible amount of bravery and leadrship here. How many
13 year olds do you know that would put their lives on the line (repeatedly)
to help their friends, and pretty much an entire civilization?
To put an end to my rambling, I think that Ron will play a major part in
the war against V (or maybe just the "efforts", for there may not actually be
an all-out war), and that he will use logic AND bravery to do so.
