I'm lazy and feeling too tired to walk up to the stairs to my room,
so I can't say which book the quote is from.
In one of the books (possibly the third) Dumbledore describes James
Potter's relationship with Snape as similar to Harry's relationship
with Draco Malfoy. Now, he doesn't state which way *round* he meant
this - could it possibly be that James Potter and his gang were being
equalled to Draco Malfoy?
I don't agree with the assumption that James Potter and Sirius Black
were blameless and more or less perfect (I get the impression that
perhaps Peter and Remus were on the outside of this a little bit.)
I'm not comparing Snape to Harry, but Harry too sometimes provokes
Draco into reacting as well as the other way round.
Just a thought.
