I dunno <g>.
I see the same things happening with pretty much every character
(especially Hermione).
Someone will point out a flaw, and others jump to the defense
<g>.
And Ron seems to have many "enemies" (kidding).
My almost automatic response is to help out the underdog,
and I really like Ron's normalcy.
Not everyone can be talented or an excellent student and I
truly hope, JKR won't throw Ron to the wolves further down
the line.
Honestly, I realize Ron has faults, but in some posts he
is made out to be the one who's so flawed and weak, there'll
almost be go choice but for him to go dark or be used against Harry.
While this might happen, I'd actually find it more
interesting if, for example, Hermione were the one who
succumbed (temporarily).
Not quite so obvious and more angsty, imo.
Or, as somebody else (Laura) suggested, maybe Harry getting
so caught up in revenge, that he forgets the important
things.
