I think you mean Magneto. And he controls the earth's magnetic field
(muuuuch more powerful.) And yes, he wants all humans dead, or at least
to leave mutants alone. And has a country to do it with. Apocalypse on
the other hand doesn't *need* a country. (But Voldemort is much scarier
and less cliched in my opinion.)
Somebody mentioned that Parseltongues might be able to enlist the
dragons. Nice thought, but if dragons speak parseltongue why didn't
Harry hear the mother dragon saying something in the second trial? Was
it untranslateable?
Oh, I've found some more evidence for where Hogwarts is. In FB (page 2
specifically) it says
"rumors that a colony of Acromantula has been established in Scotland
are ... confirmed by Harry Potter and Ron Weasley." That's pretty darn
clear.
A thought about the Dursleys and Harry being protected by living with
relatives (ancient magic, wasn't it?):
The Dursleys are from Lily's side of the family, Lily who died
protecting Harry, which gave him protection against Voldy. Mayhaps,
this protection extends from other people related to her as well -
meaning Petunia and Dudley. And since even at school or in hiding Harry
is near Dudley, wouldn't that cover it?
Somebody said it was strange Voldy forgot about the protection thing (he
doesn't seem to have that great of a memory does he?), since probably
after all undoubtably somebody else threw themselves in front of an AK.
I don't think it's too strange. AK isn't used that often (except by the
DEs) and they probably hit mostly people by themselves (divide and
conquer works quite well you know), so it just never came up.
I think it's odd that the wizards have so much trouble with Muggle
clothes in GoF. It seems like they mostly wear the same thing. Mrs.
Weasley knits sweaters for her kids, the covers show Harry in jeans,
Hagrid wears a black overcoat, Neville's gran wears a dress and carries
a purse. Doesn't sound that strange? Yeah, a lot of them wear cloaks
most (all?) of the time, but at least the younger generations wear (to
us) normal clothes.

I seriously question the sanity of somebody who uses multiple
exclamation marks.
