Remus: The Lost Years of the Last One Standing

This has been bugging me for a long long time. If this has been 
discussed before, I am so sorry for bringing it up. :( I have not 
much time to browse through all threads, as much as I would love to.

Anyway, the question is...

Where do you think Remus went and what did he do in those twelve 
years after all his friends were gone (James dead, Sirius in prison, 
and Peter in hiding)? 

I've always wondered about that.

For the life of me, I don't know what happened to him, being the 
last one standing of the Marauders for twelve years.
