Maybe Vmort DID have every intention of sparing Lily (at least
temporarily), for these possible reasons:
1. He just wanted to torture her in the worst way possible, by forcing her
to watch her son die, before going on to kill her. You know, like the
sadist he is.
2. Or maybe he was going to rape her, and force her to conceive HIS spawn-
this happens in nature all the time (ex., lions. A new male comes along
and kills all the cubs, forcing the females in the pride to go into early
estrus, so he can mate with them and they bear his offspring.) I assume
that before his downfall, his body was in good working order. This thread
may remind (as I hope it does) most of you about the 'Sexuality in the
Graveyard Scene' thread we had going about a month or so ago, can't really
recall when; I did find it very interesting.
Or maybe: she was pregnant with a second child.
