Well, we know one thing he does, and I don't think this has been 
brought up in this thread. He donates money.

At the beginning of GoF, Fudge is talking about how Lucius just 
donated for a children's wing or some such. Whether it's dollars, 
deutschmarks, yen, pounds, or galleons, money smooths over a lot of 
sins.
