Old thread, this.  Just demonstrates what a backlog of HPfGU posts I haven't 
read.  Does anyone remember the 1986 movie, "Troll"?   This movie was a 
childhood favorite of mine, in which a boy named Harry Potter (played by Noah 
Hathaway of "The Neverending Story" fame)  fights against a troll who is 
transfiguring everyone and everything in his apartment building.  "Troll" was 
the first thing that came to my mind when I first heard about the Harry 
Potter series.
