Hm. You know, after checking the book - and someone may have pointed 
this out, I haven't paid much attention to this thread - there is 
nothing that directly states that Sirius harmed the Fat Lady. Now, 
Peeves says she's "a mess" but I take that to mean that she's 
emotionally distraught at the way her "home" was vandalized.

Second point: The attack was NOT random. You don't take a post 
guarding something without the understanding that you might run into 
trouble. Occupational hazards, you might say.

Again, if someone's said this already... um. Oh well? *grin*
