I've got another reason why Augustus Rookwood is Every So Sexy, 
at least in my book - he's a family friend of one of England's best 
Quiddich players, Ludo Bagman. Never mind all the information he 
managed to get Ludo to spill [and just how was Ludo privy to 
anything Voldemort needed to know? I doubt beater strategies were 
high on his list], think of the first-rate tickets to the games he 
would have had... sigh...
