The expression of PTSD fluctuates, and onset can be many years after
the original trauma.  I would agree that it is an often over-used
diagnosis, but no less real for that.

I see it often in police or emergency workers - they appear to deal
well enough with events at the time, but it catches up with them
months or even years later.  

Sirius, PTSD.  I'll buy it.
