Now me:
Maybe none of the bottles were filled to capacity so no assumptions could be
made based on how much remained in the bottles. If they did refill
automatically like the chess board reset maybe it was always only supposed
to contain enough for one.
What I want to know is if one bottle was to get through the Black flames and
another was to get through the Purple then why if Quirrel was just in the
other room were the flames was not still going when Harry and Hermione got
to that room?
This leads me to believe that Quirrel did not solve this puzzle but did
something else to put out the flames.
