Actually, it could be that Ron has already had his "wrong person".  He
had a rather obvious crush on Fleur in GoF.  He did ask her to the
ball after all and also blustered at her when she says good bye to
Harry.  Seems he was aiming kind of high, but you can't blame him at
his age.
