Now I did start believing that Ron and Hermione were ment to be
together.  But the more I look at it the more and more cliche it
looks.  Yes they would make an adoreable couple, yes it is quite
clear that Ron fancys the pants off Hermione but IIRC JKR say that
each of the main characters would fall for Mr/Miss Wrong.  I believe
that Hermione is Rons Miss Wrong.

I believe the quote was that everyone was in love with the wrong person in 
book four, meaning Hermione/Krum, Harry/Cho, and Ron/Fleur
Ran and Hermione are meant to be!
