Me:

I think they'd have a job proving that Hermione "imprisoned" Rita Skeeter. 

Scenario: Hermione just lets Rita go at platform 9 3/4 upon arrival and throws away the jar where she kept her. There's absolutely no evidence against Hr.

Besides, if Rita says anything about Hr capturing her, she'd have to say that she's an unregistered animagus, and she doesn't want to do that.
