Which leads *me* to another question. Why was there just one? More
importantly, *is* there just one? There being just one brings up all sorts
of questions like who got to keep the map? and how often did they switch who
was keeping it? Presumably they spent most of their time together, so they
really wouldn't need to know where one another currently was, would they?
And, the question that is burning in my brain, *yells* How did they make the
map?!??!!?!? It's been driving me out of what little sanity I have left.
How could four kids still in school make such a complex piece of magic? Even
if they *are* the top students in the school, how did they find all the
passageways? The one under the Whomping Willow is obvious, Lupin used it.
But how about the one behind that witch? How in the name of Salazar
Slytherin would they know to tap the hump and say "Dissendium"?
Is there any canon for this? Practical theories? Insanely wild theories?
