Yes we do... in book 1 Mr and Mrs Wealsey go to visit Charlie in Romania, that is why Ron doesn't go home for Christmas! And the Weasley's did pay for the trip to Egypt. The competition prize was money, not the holiday. They used that money to pay for the holiday, therefore, strictly speaking, they did pay for it.
