Good thought Mary - I was thinking prefect's bathroom too (I'd love 
to soak awhile in all those bubbles!), but this room does appear to 
have some sort of significance to Bill at least.  And I was 
thinking... in PS/SS the kids are lead into a room off the Great Hall 
before the sorting - is this the same room?  If so it would at least 
explain how Bill knew the room and how Violet knew Bill (or maybe Vi 
just recognizes a hottie when she sees one and was flirting).
