I ask this as I realize the living Myrtle was @ Hogwarts when TR
was there.  

Was he just pranking around with the Chamber of  Secrets thing 
until the Basilisk killed Myrtle? 

Was Myrtle his unrequited love? 

Did  Olive Hornby give Myrtle so much pain because she was 
jealous of TR's love?

Was TR driven into darkness from guilt over Myrtle's death?

Where was the tunnel to the Chamber before Hogwarts got indoor
plumbing?
