My theories:
The books in the Hogwarts Library are "regenerating" -- You tear a page
out, and a new duplicate page grows in its place.  Or maybe Hermione
performed a basic Text-Copy spell onto a piece of scrap paper.
(Either way, Wizards don't need Xerox machines.)
