 I meant to say 5th of november not october,( thats what happens when 
you write a post at 10 when you also have a lecture to get to at 10)
The news reader says it was too early for bonfire night which wasn't 
until tomorrow, or next week( i can't remember, i'll have to head to 
the college library and check now!). So i was wrong anyway about the 
5th november , but i think it is sometime between halloween and the 
5th. Maybe the fidelius charm was cast on halloween because that's a 
more powerful time to perform magic. But because peter was the secret 
keeper and betrayed them it was broken very soon after. I have a 
vauge recollection of someone saying the charm was only cast with 
about a week when thry were killed
