Um, I met my Spouse at a vampire live-action role-playing game.

<awkward pause>

But, he wasn't playing the Byronic anti-hero type - more of the goofy 
eccentric.  He was wearing a black trenchcoat, but he also had a 
shapeless fedora and a duck-head cane.  More a very young Dumbledore 
than a Snape.

<long pause>

*meekly* It was his best friend, who was also in the game, and who I 
have had a long-standing minor crush on, who was playing the Byronic 
anti-hero.  And had shoulder-length black hair.  And looks a little 
like Alan Rickman.  And works much better with ideas and things than 
people.

<looong pause>

Uh, canon, canon, before this drifts off-topic:

I suggested a while back that Snape's comment to the Griffindor DADA 
class in PoA - "I never thought I'd meet a third-year class who 
wouldn't recognize a werewolf when they saw one" - suggests a measure 
of self-loathing, since obviously _he_ didn't recognize one when he 
saw one, and the Prank happenned well after their third year.  No one 
commented on this, at the time.  Is there another connotation to the 
comment that I'm missing?
