Well, let us assume, the book is going to beleased in July. Then they
*really should* start to distribut the books by May.
GoF was one of the books with the most books printed for the releas EVER!
Sorry, I dont have the numbers in my head (I will look it up if you
want)... but just in tiny old Germany more than 30 printing firms were hired
for the printing process... the already finished books had to be stored
until the release date... and the personal had to be forced to swear by the
life of their firstborns that they would not smuggle books outside (O.K.,
thats exagerated, but the security had to be high).
If Bloomsbury and Scholastic want to avoid a revolt on the release day,
theyd better have *lots* of books printed by then. And those have to be
printed by someone and transported by someone. And one or two month is
certainly *not* too much time for the organization of such a venture.
Anything less would be... magic.
>From the way Maria told it, Saint Louis is an kind of planing and organizing
centre - some kind of headquarter - for UPS. Am I right Maria? In that case
it would be logical that the transportation firm is asked to reserve
capacities for the delivery date.
We are all going to hear a lot of rumours before Book 5 is out. Hopefully
this one is true. :-)

< He told me that UPS is in charge of the
<distribution of the HP books, and that he heard yesterday that the
<book is coming out in may. It coincides with what we had heard about
<an end-of-school-year release, so it seems quite believable...
<The only flaw with that would be that in the UK, schools don't finish
until the middle or end of July, so I <am pretty sure that if that is what
is planned, then I doubt that Bloomsbury would permit the book to be
<released in the US before the UK.
