Poor kid.<

I completely understand what you are both saying, but I wouldn't
categorize my feelings about Harry as pity. I feel for him, certainly
(and occasionally wish I was a cutie pie 14 year old witch who caught
his eye in Potions class...) but I don't feel pity for him. Harry to
me is too strong to be pitied. I admire him - he has overcome being
raised by the dreadful Dursleys and is a polite, humble generally nice
kid. He is, for the most part, well liked by his peers (even envied
at times by the likes of Draco) and the adults around him seem to work
tirelessly to protect him. Oh, and that strong thing I said earlier;
Harry is *strong*. He is emotionally able to deal with enormous
pressure, the ever nagging death of his parents and his magical
abilities, which, IMO, will most definitely rival Dumbledore's
certainly by the end of book 7.
Yep, that's my Harry!
