Let me clarify what I said in my post that asked whether Harry
was "the most pitiable character." Harry has had a lot of hard
knocks. However, he seems to have come through just fine, and I
expect he will have a bright future. (I don't expect him to be killed
off.) So, no, I don't pity him.

Kimberly said, in regards to whether Sirius is charming:

Well, about Sirius being able to charm others, I was thinking of him
as a Hogwarts student. I don't think he's tried to charm anyone
since being in Azkaban.

About Draco being a sociopath -- I'm not sure. He's got the "no
conscience" part down pat, if you ask me. But, he's not particularly
impulsive, he's not especially skilled in duplicity, and he certainly
isn't fearless. So, he doesn't have all the traits.

As for the character in the most enviable position? Well, that
*would* have been Lucius -- rich, high status, attractive spouse,
healthy child. But, his muggle-hatred made him go sign up with
Snakeman, and I'd say he'll be lucky if he escapes with his life.

I actually envy Dumbledore's skill, respect, and position a great
deal. But I don't know enough about the rest of his life to know if
things other than his career have gone well.
