Hello everyone,
This is my first post and I'll wade in cautiously in the waters by
addressing a topic that I have a little expertise. I worked in a
bookstore several years ago and learned a little about the
publishing industry. I simply don't believe the rumor that the book
is coming out in May. Even if UPS in Saint Louis plans on shipping
HP books, it would depend on the distributors. The largest book
distributor in the US is Ingram. (There are others such as Baker &
Taylor, Bookpeople, Pacific Pipeline, Publisher's Group West, etc.)
Ingram has several warehouses in the US and the headquarters and
largest warehouse is in La Vergne, Tennessee. I don't recall any
warehouse in the St. Louis area at all. There are also many
shippers of books used by book distributors. We received shipments
from not only UPS, but WPX (Western Parcel) and others I simply
can't remember.

Also, I'm subscribed to a daily email update from Publisher's
Weekly. There has not been anything recently posted regarding any
publication dates real or rumored regarding OofP. Publisher's
Weekly updates for booksellers is newsy and at times gossipy. When
I see anything about HP, I'll pass it on. Until then - rejoice in
knowing that the DVD will be out in May and the paperback of GoF is
due out on July 31st to celebrate Harry's Birthday.

I'll post my thoughts regarding canon when I've done enough
background reading of your posts and theories.

Cheers,
Athena (my alter ego)
