Julie, cheeks slightly pink with embarrassment, ventures out of lurk
mode once more. Alas, my initial impression of Snape and the Foe
Glass does seem to be invalidated on the very next page <sighs
heavily and averts eyes> But it really did feel profound at the
time, and I wanted it to be - sorry!
Still, there is something interesting about the fact that he chooses
to look at himself in the glass. Perhaps he's thinking, "I really
should get one of these ? I wonder if they come in black?" OR maybe
he's thinking, "Yup, I must be a good guy; I'm in the foe glass!
But, let me look closer? Potter is nowhere to be seen! I should take
5 points from Gryffindor for that!"
