Oh, _great_. Now this subtitle snob is going to be mentally calling
him "Lemus Rupan." Thanks a lot. :(

So how did you pronounce it before you were bullied?

There's a series of anime films about his grandson, who practices the
same profession. I believe that's the fellow referred to above.

Better contraceptive charms? Practicing magic while pregnant causes
birth defects?

Actually, I'm fond of the theory that magic has a negative effect on
fertility. Perhaps magical emanations reduce sperm count or
something. Many of the magical children appear to be only children -
Neville, Harry, Cedric, Draco, probably Hermione. Many of the ones
who aren't only children are Muggleborn - the Creeveys, for example.
The Weasleys seem to be the only really large Pureblood family that
we know of. Maybe a fertility charm runs in the family . . .

A third option might be that, even with the extended lifespan,
witches hit menopause at the "normal" time. That would make Ron and
Ginny change-of-life babies, or something very close to them; perhaps
that's one reson Molly seems to baby Ginny so much.

Would _you_ want to be immortal as a homunculus, though?
