Hermione's Parents

We know that the Dursley's have a cover story for Harry's absences to 
Hogwarts, but what do you think Hermione's parents tell people. And 
why aren't parents or other relatives allowed to visit (that we've 
seen), other than for unusual events like the Tri-wizard Tournament? 
If you were Hermione's parents, wouldn't you have liked to have seen 
your daughter get rescued? The only time we've seen her parents was 
at Kings' Cross, looking rather nervous, IIRC. What exactly were they 
nervous about?
