Nice idea, but impossible i'm afraid. When Harry is fighting Voldemort at
the end of GoF, we see Lily and James both come out of Voldemort's wand,
confirming that they were killed by him.

Something that i would like to see JKR do is write books about years past at
Hogwarts. I'd love to get to know the Marauders and Lily better by reading
about their adventures when they were Harry's age. Or even a real "History
of Hogwarts" that gives plenty of details about the school from its
concption to present day. One can always hope anyway ;)
