Exactly. If JKR is going at all by the theory and practice behind the 
magical arts, then it's based in belief and imagination. In 
short, "Accio" works because Mrs. Weasily believes it will work. 
Magic words, rituals, wand-waving, and sigils are there purely to 
fool the left side of the brain into believing that magic can happen, 
that it is a logical, thought out process. This is why Mrs. Weasly 
can zoom things around the house as well, eventually magic words are 
no longer needed; the brain has instictually learned that this will 
work. The wands are simply a focusing point for the creativity of the 
wizard.
