I wonder if this is why Harry's doesn't cry. He's had to live through 
that hardship most of his life, so some things just don't bother him. 
Kind of like the Great Depression: the rich were the ones hanging 
themselves, the poor were "Oh well, I guess we raise our own chickens 
from now on"
