I've always thought that this was a teenage boy thing. Like wants to
be a "man" and follow the conventional beliefs that true "men" don't
show weakness (ie, crying). Just a demonstrative of Harry's age and
the misconceptions common to (probably) most to all teenage boys and
young adult men.
