It might be funny, but I also think it would be very good for Ron to spend
even one day seeing the kind of life Harry has to live when he's not at
Hogwarts. It might make Ron realize that what he has--a large, *living*
family that loves him--is more valuable in the long run than what Harry
has--fame for something he doesn't remember, an inheritance from his dead
parents...oh yes and an incredibly evil wizard who wants him dead. I doubt
Harry has really told anyone what his life is like there, least of all Ron.
Ron only knows that he lives with some particularly horrible Muggles, but
could he really have any concept of what it would be like living with the
kind of people who'd make you sleep in a closet for eleven years? I'd love
to see Ron get stuck there for a day or two somehow. I doubt the Dursley's
would allow him to stay but there's always that Invisibility Cloak. :)
