I really don't agree with the word "prophecy" in your post. 
Dumbledore seems to be about everything *but* prophecy. He does not 
respect Trelawney's divination, and always talks about people making 
their own path.

I would be more agreeable with your post if you said "special 
knowledge" than "prophecy". Special knowledge means that he has 
studied Lily's spell & LV's powers, and coupled with the wands 
being 'brothers', he knows that Harry is the only one who can be 
successful (or something along those lines).

I just think prophecies are a cliche JKR is wisely avoiding.

Otherwise, I think the rest of your post is pretty interesting.
