Mommy picking out Draco's wand while he was busy with a robe fitting; 
it is SO revealing of Draco Malfoy.  Style is more important than 
substance.  What is the MOST important purchase a young wizard/witch 
makes when going off to school? The wand.  Does Draco want to be 
bothered?  No, getting his robes to look just right is more 
important!  We see this again and again with Malfoy.  Ex. The highly 
competent Prof. Lupin gets dissed just because his robes are shabby.
