Absurdly young age for marriage..

You're right, of course, but consider people's life expectancy in 
relation to the ages they married, and the life expectancy of 
wizards.  People of 18 or 20 would seem to me to be viewed as much 
more mature when they have an overall life expectancy of say 50 than 
when they have an expectancy of 200 or so years.
