Since those terms are aminly used by people in Slytherin, I assume they
would know about it.
Sorry, but I'd have to disagree on that statement! Harry is a half-blood because his mother was a muggle-born and his father was a wizard. I don't have any canon to back it up on, but I get the impression that the Potter were an old purebred family. Riddle is a half-blood because his mother is a pureblood (descended from Slytherin) and his father is a muggle, so I would have to say that as he is saying Harry is the same, then James Potter is not a muggle-born.
