I have also wondered about this. How many times has Dumbledore
said "I would trust Hagrid with my life." My other theory relating
to this subject is that the pink umbrella will surface to SAVE
Dumbledore's life. Not being a fully qualified wizard, it would be a
surprise to everyone if Hagrid were to save Dumbledore
with "advanced" magic, perhaps leading to him being able to practice
magic?
