I'm not exactly the most well-versed person in astrology either, but
I seem to recall that Mars is the planet associated with conflict,
agression, war, etc. (well, Mars the god was anyway). I've always
taken the centaur's commentary on Mars to indicate that they sensed
there was some "big, bad mojo" brewing out there. Good call on the
centaur's part.
