Hogwarts core curriculum

It seems that an assumption can be made regarding the core curriculum at Hogwarts' . 
That is, that there are no muggle type core classes like English or math, notwithstanding 
arithmancy. Obviously, muggle science or physics  would be of no great interest to the 
majority of wizards or witches.
