How many European schools of magic?

It seems I have heard a lot of people saying that there are only 
three European schools of magic (so many posts I am not going to go 
find them all). Well, there is a definite canonical evidence that 
there are more. Dumbeldore clearly says, when introducing the 
triwizard tournament, that there are more in Europe, but smaller.

US Hard Back GoF page 187: "The Triwizard Tournament was first 
established some seven hundred years ago as a friendly competetion 
between the three largest European schools of wizardry: Hogwarts, 
Beauxbatons, and Durmntrang."

So clearly there are more in Europe if the three mentioned are the 
*largest* of the european schools!

So if anyone implies there are only those three, well, you are 
wrong. :)
