ZEFF: ***During the first day of school back at Hogwarts, Our benevolent
Haggrid walked into the mail hall, swinging a dead pole cat.
Now thats odd..Now I am sure many of you know what a "pole cat" is.. A skunk.
And even dead they stink.. So why would Haggrid be carrying, swinging (even
if it was just carrying at his side, swinging with the gaint of his walk) a
dead stinky skunk into the castle itself? I am sure Filtch would have a fit
about it.. Let alone the students..***
That is a bit odd. Maybe he was doing it for Filch's benefit - or more
specifically - Mrs. Norris's.
SS American Edition Paper back page 141:
"An' as fer that cat, Mrs. Norris, I'd like ter introduce her to Fang
sometime." D'yeh know, every time I go up ter the school, she follows me
everywhere? Can't get rid of her - Filch puts her up to it."
Then again, maybe the odor sacks could be a potion ingredient and Hagrid was
taking it to Professor Snape or something along those lines. Interesting
observation, Zeff.
