Wow, good point. That never occurred to me. Hmm... do you suppose
that these brooms aren't enchanted muggle objects, but something
inherently magical? I'm trying to think of a comparison to make...
surely there are things wizards make and buy that have muggle
counterparts. Like, The Monster Book of Monsters is certainly not a
normal-behaving book, but that doesn't cause a problem, because I
guess it's not an enchanted muggle book, it's a book made by a wizard
or witch in the first place. Perhaps that's how it works with
brooms. Hmm... but then why would brooms be something that could be
magically made, but carpets could not. Very odd.
