Yes, well... If he saw it and if he had a charm on him... Really, I 
think he's more absent-minded than having a bad memory. Very much 
like Harry was after returning with Cedric's body. Neville does 
remember that, considering his participation in fake-Moody's class: 
He did mention the torture curse, quietly and reluctantly. I think it 
was obvious he remembered his parents then. He also does well in 
herbology, which requires him to remember about plants etc.

"forgetting" some thing behind-- well, it's not a memory loss, 
really. Constantly getting stuck into that trap-stair isn't either. 
It's just that his mind is some place else, or that he can't 
concentrate. He has loss in focus, not memory and not magic. He 
simply reacts to stress that way.
